Ormur Art Gallery
The Ormur Gallery, located in the Saga Centre, hosts a number of exhibitions and art sales all year long. The gallery features paintings from local and national Icelandic artists that get their inspiration from their country’s natural beauty, history and landscapes of the region. The exhibitions are intended to shed light on particular aspects of Iceland’s cultural history in great detail, but also touch on contemporary cultural issues in the context of the nation’s heritage. The emergence of the gallery allows the Saga Centre to create an environment in which art can flourish and the site remains one of the central components to the regions cultural life.
The hall of the art gallery also has great acoustics and is ideal performance venue for small concerts. Last summer the Saga Centre held an ambitious concert program which thrilled our guests.
Its possible to rent the hall for conferences , as a meeting space and other kinds of events. For further information please contact our staff.
